Happy Halloween!
It's been just a few days since I posted anything (blog-wise or article-wise) because we've been getting ready for one of my FAVORITE holidays. :D
This year, it was Bodhi's first Halloween and I'm pretty happy to say that it went relatively well. Of course, he's still too young to trick-or-treat, so we made other plans.
This morning we went and visited the grandmother's at work, then went to the school my dad teaches art at so I could help him paint faces at their Fall Fest. I subbed for these kids last year, so I know most of them and that makes it all the better. (Jarrett's dad works a job where we can't visit, sadly.)
THEN, we went home and took a nap because Mama and Daddy woke up way too early. (Especially since Daddy worked a 12-hour shift last night...)
Around sunset, we headed over to Jarrett's parent's house so that I could hand out candy, which is DEFINITELY one of my favorite things. My parents live out in the sticks, so no one trick-or-treats out there. I'm super glad that his parents live in the middle of town.
We finished the night with Taco Bell (and Similac) while our laundry washed, then dried.
All in all, I would say that our Halloween festivities were a success. Nice and simple.
This year, we got Bodhi an adorable teddy bear costume and since I quite enjoy dressing up as well (old theatre kid habits die hard, I guess), I decided to dress up as a "little kid". Get it? A little kid and her teddy bear?
I love it.

Ignore the black blob on my cheek in the picture on the right. Before we left, I had my dad paint a bat on my cheek. :D I love bats...
Anyway, thank you so much for reading. I hope your family had a wonderful and ever so slightly spooky Halloween!
