Launched in 2015 as personal online publication, Wild Mother Bear is an amalgamation of beloved information. If you enjoy articles on quasi-crunchy parenting, advice on obscure subjects, simple posts about a outdoorsy, travel-loving family and large doses of sarcastic wit, you'll definitely be right at home here.
Wild Mother Bear began as a mental overload of things I simply had to write down, which is often how my articles begin. Being a first-time mother of a soon-to-be two year old, my world has opened up to many new subjects that I have honestly become enamored with. Being a researcher by nature, this led to many busy nights and even more ink-covered pages. Those pages are what I will share with you here.

In addition to my wonderful publication, I write for a larger website called My Trending Stories. The articles that I post here will be available there as well.
Currently, I'm working on a game plan for my personal future.
Within the next three years or so, someone near to my heart and I hope to purchase enough land to begin a small (and someday, hopefully, big) hobby farm where we would raise Black Angus cattle, Peruvian Huacaya alpacas, pigs (I hope to breed Tamworth x Berkshire crosses, or "calico pigs", and milking goats.
As my primary love has always been for dogs, my plan was once to attend the Animal Behavior College to complete their Dog Training Program. From there, I was hoping to get a job working for TADSAW Inc. (Train A Dog, Save A Warrior) where I would train service dogs (or Battle Buddies as they call them) for soldiers, veterans, first responders and immediate family members of the aforementioned personnel. TADSAW trainers mostly focus on dogs trained to handle PTSD.
Someday, this may be my plan once more.
In the (far, but maybe near) future, I would also enjoy breeding German Shepherds, which have continuously held my heart for 20 years.`I would also like to breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which I have done previously.

As for me, personally, I have this to say :
I’m a free spirited mama and partial hippie. I enjoy the quiet, peaceful beauty of nature and the feeling of the sun on my skin. I’m slowly moving towards my goal of being the (s)crunchiest of them all, but I’m only human and I don’t always succeed. I spend my free time writing and dreaming up adventures in far-flung places. I like Salt of the Earth moscato rubino and organic food (when I can afford it). Earrings are my staple accessory. I try to stay clear-headed and open-minded, but the truth is I get by on generous amounts of sweet tea and crossed fingers.
