Update! Update! Update!
Nothing major has happened, not really. I just figured that I’d fill everyone in on the little bits.
Jarrett finished up a whole bunch more of his Navy paperwork on Tuesday, so he’ll be going to MEPS next week on his days off, which means 2 more days I won’t get to spend with him. Sarcastic “whoo” here.
Second, we booked our vacation for the beginning of next year, before Jarrett should leave for Basic. My parents, Jarrett, Bodhi, and I are going to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in February. We’ve never been there before, so it will definitely be a treat. It’ll be Bodhi’s first vacation!
Last, in a spur of the moment decision (which I’ve been thinking about FOREVER) , I got my septum pierced. Woot. To be 100% honest, I think she pierced it crooked. It hangs a little… Oddly. More pronounced on the right side. I don’t know. She tried to blame my nose and said that a smaller ring would probably hang better. I want a smaller ring anyway, so hopefully that’s true. I’d hate to have to take it out because it looks weird. Jarrett paid $40 for it since I wanted it so bad.
Anyway, that’s really all that’s happened lately. Jarrett is SUPPOSED to be studying for his ASVAB, but he hasn’t had time yet. He only has a couple of days. Ugh, hopefully he’ll be able to… We shall see, I guess.
I should be getting more information on when I should start the training for my new job soon. That’s an important thing to mention, I guess. I’m not really looking forward to this job, we just need the money until Jarrett leaves for Basic. I just keep chanting, “only about a year, only about a year,” in my head, hoping it’ll make time go by faster. I’m so ready for our “real lives” to start.
I’m not even sure what that means, hahaha.
You know, maybe I’m a little too tired to be writing this. I’ll just stop now. That would probably be best for sure. Here’s a picture of the new piercing, anyway.
