I'm a Liar

You know, I never have the intentions of forgetting about posting here. I love this blog. I think about it incredibly often, I really do. I just always seem to have so much going on…

BUT that’s really going to have to change. In just a few short months, Jarrett is going to be leaving for Navy Basic and Bodhi and I are going to be moving in with my parents until he’s done with all of his training, which will take nearly 20 weeks. After all of that is said and done, we’ll be relocating to another state and this blog will probably be the easiest way for our families to keep up with what’s going on in our lives.

I hate the idea of that. I really, honestly do. I am INCREDIBLY close with my parents, especially my mother and the idea of living somewhere else besides no more than 15 minutes away from them is furiously scary. I put on a brave face, but I’m not actually sure how I’m going to handle it. I don’t want them to have to follow Bodhi on my website, or on Facebook, but this is definitely what’s best for our little family unit. We all know that and we have all accepted it.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

I can’t believe that I managed to make something that I’m SUPER excited about sound depressing, haha. I’m pretty sure this next step in our lives is literally the only thing Jarrett and I think about. On the flip side of what I said earlier, I can’t WAIT to move, to experience somewhere I’ve never been before. I love to travel, I always have and this is the ultimate way to do so. The Navy is so generous in the fact that they take care of so much for you.

ANYWAY, I have a lot of other things to update on here.

On August 9th, Jarrett and I got married. It was a VERY small get together which only our parents attended. We’re having a party halfway through September to celebrate with the rest of our families. I’ve literally typed something of this manner about 1,000 times by now, so that’s all I’m going to say.

Yeah, we didn’t even dress our best. We are those people. My mom, however, did wear the Guns n Roses baseball tee that I bought her and that meant a lot. Guns N Roses is a BIG DEAL in my family.

Another super awesome thing that we did was have photography taken of Bodhi for his “six month birthday”. Is that a thing? Haha, I don’t even care. They’re adorable.

Normally, I would write some “I promise I’m going to post more” malarkey here, but I’m not going to do that this time. I can’t tell you when I’ll have enough free time to come and write something huge, or even when something worth writing about will happen. I’m sure I’ll share Bodhi’s first Halloween, Christmas, and birthday here, of course. Jarrett isn’t due to ship out until sometime between February and April, so there isn’t too much to say about the Navy until then. As for me, it’s just work, work, work! I’m balancing two jobs this year, one as a substitute teacher (for 5 school districts) and as a waitress at my favorite local bar. I guess it’s to make myself feel better about the fact that I won’t really be working for a while once we move to his duty station. Hmph.

I hope anyone who reads this enjoys the little bit of junk I had to say and that they dig the pictures of my family. They may not be much to others, but I think they’re beautiful.

I love you all!
