Lordy, Lordy

Whoo… I apologize. As I said in my last post, a lot of junk has been completely nuts over the past month or so. A lot has happened, so much that I can’t even remember everything to be honest.

Our son is due to be here in less than 20 days.

Holy. Stinkin’. Cow.

I guess since I actually have some time, I could type up a huge post to catch up on, well, everything that’s happened recently.

In the last post, I talked about my baby shower, so I’ll start after that.

My mother, my father, my nana, and I went to Branson, MO for Christmas this year. We stayed for four days and came from on Christmas Eve. It was a nice trip, to be be honest, even though my nana is a little annoying. I guess I’m just 100% used to spending all of my time with my parents, Jarrett, and his parents. Other people tend to… Irk me these days, haha.

We did so much junk that I can barely remember to make a list… Silver Dollar City was one of the highlights though, so I’ll post some pictures from there!

The last two pictures are of the 30 ft tall Christmas tree in the “town square” inside Silver Dollar City and the $11.00 worth of handmade saltwater taffy that I bought (and still haven’t finished…)

Next, of course, was Christmas. Our holiday was little small this year, but I enjoyed the day very much. I spent the night at Jarrett’s parents Christmas Eve and we ate at three different houses the next day: breakfast at his paternal grandparent’s, lunch at his maternal grandparent’s, and then dinner with my whole family at my parent’s.

Look at that tiny Santa hat! Isn’t that adorable? He is such a good sport!

The first two pictures are actually my Christmas gifts from Jarrett. He did AWESOME, which isn’t surprising at all. He got me a super soft fleece blanket with a skull and poppies on it, then the big pile of junk in the second picture which is: the newest Seether (my favorite band) CD (Isolate and Medicate), one of the two books by my favorite author (Neil Gaiman) that I didn’t already have (Anansi Boys), a Sog key-shaped knife that you can carry at all times, and a Kershaw axe, Man, I love that axe…

Also, I got a HUGE stocking full of random stuff like an adult coloring book and new colored pencils, lip gloss, fingernail polish, etc…

NEXT was New Year’s Eve, which… Was rather slow-paced since I can’t drink and Jarrett hates drinking when I can’t. It’s something that we enjoy together, so he’s been taking it easy for me. He’s such a sweetie…

Here are our “obligatory New Year selfies” :

In the non-cute “selfie”, he was trying to bite my head, haha. We took our first ever “selfie” together on New Year’s Eve, so this is something that we are required to do every year. It’s one of my favorite things.

Now, it’s been 9 days since New Year’s, so not much has been going on. School started again on January 5th, so I’ve been working every day. Jarrett’s schedule changed, so we barely get to hang out anymore and that’s a bit stressful. The decision to stay with our parents until my maternity leave is over and such was definitely a good one, but I hate not living with that ridiculous man of mine.

Ugh. Basically, I can’t wait for the imminent things to just… Happen already. I’m a “big step” taker and these day-to-day things are beginning to whittle me down. Oh, well! That’s life, hm?

Thank you all so much for reading this, or continuing to read.

You have NO idea how much I appreciate it.
